ASHLEY WAITE - Theatre Director

I'm Ashley Waite and I’ve been teaching at Cypress Creek since 2014! I am the proudest member of the Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of 2008, although I graduated a semester early in 2007. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University, where I majored in Communication.

After 7 years in the corporate world (where I worked as a TV news producer, a marketing assistant, and a human resources manager), I decided to follow my heart and pursue a future in education and completed an Alternative Certification Program through Region IV. I’ve taught Technical Theatre, Professional Communication, and PACE at Cypress Creek, but my heart belongs to the theatre! I’m a member of Texas Educational Theatre Association and the International Thespian Society (Troupe 931) and a firm believer that there’s magic in the theatre and the theatre is magic.

CHLOE SHROFF - Assistant Theatre Director

My name is Chloe Shroff and I'm excited for my first year at Cypress Creek!

I attended Lamar University, where I received a Bachelor of Science in Theatre and Dance. While at Lamar, I became a member of the Alpha Psi Omega Pi Omicron Cast and served as the theatre honor society's president. I have worked professionally as an actor both on stage and on camera. I also spent seven years working as a Producer, Editor, and Writer for Joshua Productions, a Beaumont, Texas based video production company. Throughout my professional career, I have been fortunate to work with celebrities such as television icon Marc Summers, actor and activist Geena Davis, and Broadway performer Alex Brightman.

I developed a love for theatre education while working as a long-term Guest Teacher at Summer Creek High School in Humble, Texas during the Covid-19 pandemic. That group of students will always hold a special place in my heart. Performance is my passion, and it brings me great joy to share that with my students. Words cannot express how truly delighted I am to be at Creek!

Thank you Mr. Gage!

We bid you farewell, we would like to thank you for everything you have done for the Cy-Creek Theatre Department.

We would not be where we are today without you.

Break a leg on your journey!
